Cynthia Frias is a Texas-based choreographer, educator, adjudicator, performer, and entertainment manager. Her work is rooted in strong technical training while emphasizing musicality, storytelling, and performance authenticity. Whether teaching, choreographing, judging, or leading workshops and intensives, Cynthia is passionate about developing versatile, expressive artists and helping dancers connect movement with intention, authenticity, and performance excellence.
A graduate of Oklahoma City University with a degree in Dance Performance and a minor in Spanish, Cynthia spent six years with Disney Cruise Line, serving as a performer, dance captain, and entertainment manager. Her professional background includes extensive experience in theatrical productions, leadership, and live entertainment, providing a unique perspective that bridges studio training with real-world performance expectations. In addition to her work with Disney, Cynthia's performance experience spans musical theatre and live entertainment productions across the country.
As a choreographer, Cynthia has created work for theatre productions, competitive studios, dance teams, and performance programs throughout Texas and beyond, earning recognition for choreography that balances technical excellence with artistry and storytelling. Her teaching philosophy centers on helping dancers build strong foundations while developing confidence, versatility, and a deeper understanding of performance.
Cynthia also serves as an adjudicator for organizations including Platinum National Dance Competition, Impact Dance Adjudicators, and Crowd Pleasers Dance. Through her work in studios, classrooms, theatres, and on the judging panel, she is committed to creating an environment that challenges dancers, encourages individuality, and inspires artistic growth.
